Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has poured cold water on the move linking his team with Spanish international Cesc Fabregas, who is reportedlt unsettled at Chelsea.
The arrival of new manager Antonio Conte at Chelsea has had Cesc, a former Arsenal and Barcelona player linked with a move away and this was further fueled by the Italian leaving the midfielder on the bench in the opening clash of the season.
While he has continued to be linked with a Real Madrid move, Zidane came out to clearly state a move for him would be complicated given the number of players he has in the same position.
The midfielder ranks as one of the best in England and the world, and Zidane, a former midfielder, admits as much but he is keen not to have a player that will spend the season sulking at lack of first team chances.
“If you want to put another central midfielder into the mix then it becomes complicated.
“Cesc is a great player but it is not very straightforward. I am going to end up with a squad where three or four players do not get selected. To therefore put another player in there makes it difficult,” he said.
