Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed his disappointment at the result as his team took on German side Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday but is not entirely mad at his team’s display.
The Spanish giants played to a 2 – 2 draw, twice letting go of the lead and Zidane feels they were unlucky to pick a draw from the game though he notes that they played well defensively and offensively.
He however welcomes the result despite it being the third straight time they have drawn and even though his keeper Keylor Navas had a moment of poor ball handling, the Frenchman opted to look at the good moments he had.
“I’m pissed off we because we played a great game offensively and defensively. I said that we lacked concentration against Las Palmas, but that wasn’t the case against Dortmund.
“In the end, it’s not a bad result, but I feel for the players because they put in a huge effort.”
“Keylor [Navas] was very good overall, the goal was unlucky and I’m happy with his performance,” he said.
Zidane will now return his focus to the domestic league, with a game against Eibar at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
