The newly appointed Gor Mahia head coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira, popularly known as Ze Maria will be unveiled on Tuesday 15 March at the Nairobi Safari Club, the club has confirmed.
The coach arrived in Kenya on Monday 14 March in the morning and the club allowed him some time to rest after which he will meet the team on Tuesday before gracing his official unveiling, as per the club chairman Ambrose Rachier’s quote on the website.
“The coach arrived as earlier planned – today in the morning. We have agreed to allow him rest today then join the team tomorrow after which we will unveil him at the Nairobi Safari Club at around mid day,” club chairman Ambrose Rachier is quoted to have said on the website.
The coach, a former Brazilian international has an uphill task at the club. He has to restore calm after the last two matches saw two coaches, Frank Nuttall and Frank Ouna resign in the wake of a poor start to the season.
The coach comes along with a fitness coach while the club will appoint his assistant coach from around the country or in the region, the club confirmed.
