Football stars across the world are set to storm Nigeria to feature in the planned testimonial game in honour of former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo
Some of the big names expected in the Garden City includes the likes of Wayne Rooney who played along side Yobo at Everton , Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto’o among others.
Tagged ‘The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game’ the encounter is being put together by the Joseph Yobo Foundation in partnership with the Rivers State Government.
A good number of Super Eagles players are also penciled down for the testimonial.
As reported on FCNaija.com, Yobo will also officially launch his foundation same day when his testimonial is being played
The foundation which started in 2007 was set up to help the underprivileged.
The now retired centre-back was the first player to get a 10 caps; representing the national team at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in the process.
Yobo’s last appearance for Nigeria was against France in a round of 16 match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
