Eden Hazard is currently not on the same level he was last season which has resulted to his below par performances for Chelsea this season and manager Jose Mourinho has refused to confirm whether he will l start or be on the bench for this weekend’s match against West Ham United at Upton Park.
Hazard was dropped from the Blues starting XI for last weekend’s 2-0 win against Aston Villa but returned to the first against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.
Hazard was named PFA Player of the Year in Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season but Mourinho is not willing to give a selection hint ahead of the clash against the Hammers.
“I don’t know [if Hazard will start],” Mourinho told reporters in today’s press conference. “He played the last match and played for 90 minutes and he was part of the compact team that kept that clean sheet. I’m happy with his contribution against Dynamo and that’s it.”
Chelsea are currently placed 12th on the Premier League log with 11points after nine matches.
