Coastal side Bandari FC has warned Gor Mahia to expect a tough outing when the two teams face off in the DStv Super cup clash on Saturday 6th February in Mombasa.
The clash is a preserve of the league champions against the domestic cup holders and also serves as the curtain raiser for the regular season.
Heading to the match, Gor Mahia, the league champions are the outright favorites but have been told by the Bandari coach Twahir Muhiddin, to expect it tough down at the coast.
“Bandari is a big team and even Gor Mahia knows that. This is not the first time we are going to play them and although it will be an enormous task they too know that we aren’t going to be pushovers,” he said.
While Gor Mahia banks on a number of individual players, Twahir is banking on team work to guide his side to glory.
“We can’t bank on any one player in a match like this and we will have to depend on the whole team to deliver. They’ll have to be at their best if we are to get the required results,” he added.
