Watford Coach Quique Sanchez Flores has spoken highly of the club’s summer transfer target, Isaac Success who is being touted to replace his compatriot Odion Ighalo at the Vicarage Road very soon.
According to the Hornets’ boss, Success who currently plays for La Liga side, Granada has the attributes that will make him a big hit in the English Premier League if finally he makes the switch from Spain to England.
Whatever be the case, the 20-year-old will play out the remainder of this season at Granada before the Hornets decide whether he will be part of their first-team squad next season or sent out on loan.
“We are checking players for a long time,” said the Watford boss on Thursday when asked about a deal being in place for another player in the Pozzo network. “Success is a very good player and has the physical characteristics to play in England. He’s younger and we need to think well about the future of this player.”
Watford are unclear about the immediate plan for Success. His involvement could depend on other incomings and outgoings this summer, but it is hard to see the youngster come straight to fill the goal-scoring boots of Odion Ighalo should a club meet Watford’s valuation of £40m and Ighalo moves on.
