Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo was the hero at Vicarage Road as his brace secured a comfortable 2-0 win for Watford against high flying West Ham.
The 26-year-old Nigerian who has now been involved in all the goals scored by Watford this season, didn’t take long to make his presence felt as he converted a low cross from Nathan Ake after he robbed Andy Carroll of the ball inside the box.
Three minutes into the second half, Ighalo was at it again as he received the ball inside the area, brilliantly turned and fired into the top corner of the net for the second goal of the match. West Ham defender, James Collins was shown a straight red card for a clumsy tackle on Ighalo as they away side showed their frustration.
The other Nigerian on show, Victor Moses was substituted by West Ham manager Slaven Bilic for Enner Valencia at the start of the second half.
The two goals take Ighalo’s tally to seven premier league strikes in 11 appearances this season.
