Victor Wanyama’s club Southampton FC can afford a peaceful time after manager Ronald Koeman opted to stick with the Braclays Premier League side in the wake of reported interest from the Netherlands FA.
The Netherlands post has been under much scrutiny as the Dutch national team had a poor Euro 2016 qualifying campaign that ended in failure to qualify but the coach has once again ruled himself out, this coming days after the 2 – 3 loss to Czech Republic.
The coach however noted that he may consider the post in future.
“I like to stay, and I have after this season one year more. There’s no way, no possibility [I could leave].”
“Maybe [I could be Dutch manager] in future depending on a lot of things,” he is quoted on BBC Sport as having said.
The coach is ion his second year at the Saints after taking over from Muricio Pochettino who left for Tottenham Hotspurs. His reign has brought a lot of improvement in the club.
