Kenyan international and Southampton midfielder, Victor Wanyama will return to action when his Barclays Premier League side hosts Liverpool on Sunday 20 March.
The midfielder will be available for selection after six weeks out of action as he served a five match suspension following his third red card of the season in the game against West Ham United on Saturday 6 February.
During the suspension, he missed matches against Swansea, AFC Bournemouth, Stoke City, Chelsea and Sunderland.
In his absence, Spanish midfielder and Dutchman Jordy Clasie were used in the defensive midfield and it is now up to manager Ronald Koeman to decide whether to stick with the duo or patch up Wanyama in the team.
Wanyama’s impact at the team is clear with the winning rate at the team higher when he is featuring, and especially against the bigger teams in the league.
Meanwhile, the club will also have a boost with the return of skipper Jose Fonte who missed the win over Stoke City on a one – match suspension.
