Kenyan international Victor Wanyama is looking forward to his new team Tottenham Hotspurs’ trip to Melbourne, Australia, where they will be spending a fe weeks of their preseason engagements.
The English side landed an invitation to the International Champions Cup (ICC) in Melbourne, where they are set to play series of games against top European sides.
Ahead of the trip, Wanyama termed it an occasion to get to know the Spurs’ playing unit and learn from the opposition.
“It is a good opportunity for me to know and learn about my teammates so I am looking forward to it. It will be also be interesting to play and feel experience against Juve and Atletico Madrid, who will be good test for us,” Wanyama told the club portal.
Spurs opens the tourney on Saturday 23 July against Melbourne Victory on before playing Italian Champions Juventus three days later and Atletico Madrid in the final match on Friday 29 July.
