Kenyan international Victor Wanyama has been named the new Let’s Play ambassador, the appointment coming after his big money move in the Barclays Premier League from Southampton to Tottenham Hotspurs.
Let’s Play is a corporate social responsibility initiative developed by SuperSport and partners aimed at keeping youngsters active for nutritional gains.
The Harambee Stars skipper was unveiled as the new ambassador during his homecoming party held at the Villa Rosa Kempiski, in Westlands, Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, the Kenyan international took the chance to thank SuperSport for the recognition and promised to work hard to inspire the Kenyan youth in his time as the ambassador.
Wanyama is the first new signing at Tottenham Hotspurs, the North London club having parted with £11m to secure his services from Southampton, where he served for three years, featuring in 85 matches.
At Spurs he will link up with his former manager at Southampton, Mauricio Pochettino.
