The Kenya national team Harambee Stars has been handed a major boost with the arrival of the team skipper Victor Wanyama ahead of the game against Guinea Bissau in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Wanyama had trouble with connecting flights for the trip with his flight from Heathrow Airport in England delaying, which resulted in missing a connecting flight from Marrakech, Morocco on Tuesday.
HHe had to spend the night in Morocco before catching a Dakar, Senegal flight to Bissau.
Upon arrival, he declared he had enough time to rest and stated his readiness for the match if picked on.
“I have had good rest despite the troubled trip. I missed the connection from Marrakech because of the delay at Heathrow and I had to spend the night there.
“In the morning I connected through Dakar and I am happy to be here finally. I have rested well and I am ready if called on,” he said.
