Marcus Rashford stole the show in the 5-1 win against FC Midtjylland of Denmark yesterday at Old Trafford. Manchester United has introduced another gem, Rashford to the world of football.
It was the round of 32 second round fixture after the Red Devils had lost 2-1 in the first leg and were expected to produce a stunning performance in front of their home fans but when Anthony Martial pulled out during the warm up due to injury the spirits of the fans were a little down as they were already without Captain Wayne Rooney.
But it proved a perfect introduction for 18-year-old Rashford who grabbed the headline with a brace and a fine all round performance.
Former Manchester United youth coach Paul McGuinness said about the player: “One we saw starting to emerge as he grew into his body more was Marcus Rashford.
“He put some exciting parts of games together and we saw some exciting things. He’s emerging and starting to do more.”
