Leicester City, the new champions of England are just getting into their new status and a star performer for the Foxes in the season, Jamie Vardy has termed the feeling unbelievable.
Leicester were confirmed champions on Monday 2 May after Tottenham Hotspurs failed to beat Chelsea, playing to a 2 – 2 draw at the Stamford Bridge.
Vardy, quoted on the club website, says he has never had the feeling, having starred for the team in the season after struggling to beat the drop last season.
Leicester will be handed the trophy on Saturday 7 May after their match against Everton and Vardy states that the triumph is the result of their hard work and determination.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling, I’ve never known anything like it. We were scrapping to stay in the league last season and on Saturday we’ll be lifting the trophy.
“It’s the biggest achievement in the history of a great club and we all feel privileged to be part of it. It’s even more special to have done it with these lads.
“Every minute of hard work we’ve put in on the training pitch has been worth it for this moment,” Vardy told the club website.
