Nigerian winger Ejike Uzoenyi may get some immediate succor after his club, Mamelodi Sundowns announced plans on Tuesday to offload him, as he is now training with another Premier Soccer League side, SuperSport United with a view to joining them.
The 23-year old has struggled with injuries since joining the ‘Brazilians’ from Enugu Rangers in 2014, and Sundowns manager Pitso Mosimane said on Tuesday they would let him go if he gets an offer.
“We are going to release them to go if there is a team interested,” Mosimane said in reference to Uzoenyi and Zambian midfielder Mukuka Mulenga.
The Nigerian was not even registered for the current PSL season, but continued to train with the club as he still has two years left on his contract.
Fcnaija.com has however now been authoritatively informed that the winger is currently training with SuperSport United as the club looks set to offer him a deal sooner rather than later.
SuperSport has one more space to fill their quota of foreign players, and is expected to have Uzoenyi complete that.
