Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Ushuru FC has completed the deal to sign the highly rated Gambian forward, Ebrima Sanneh ahead of the 2016 KPL season scheduled to start on Saturday 13 February.
The striker was being pursued by Posta Rangers but it has come to emerge that his current club, Real De Banjul requested for more than Posta Rangers could offer and Ushuru FC closed in to complete a deal.
The striker netted 11 goals at City Stars in the 2015 season and the Ushuru FC coach Ken Kenyatta admits that he wants to make him a better player at Ushuru.
“Sanneh is our player now and he has signed a two year contract. Not everything is done yet; we are still completing the paperwork to fully confirm the deal but I can confirm he will be here for the coming season.
“I went in for him because he is an exceptional player and with good skills and I believe at Usuru for the season, I will make him a better player than he was at City Stars last year,” he said.
Sanneh was a star in the City Stars survival push last year, scoring 11 goals as the team scraped through to survive relegation.
