The Premier League clash between Manchester United and Bournemouth which was postponed after an ‘incredibly lifelike explosive device’ was found at Old Trafford will now hold on Tuesday, May May 17, the Premier League has announced.
The game was scheduled for 3pm on Sunday, but had to be put off after security discovered the ‘incredibly lifelike explosive device’ in one of the toilets.
Meanwhile, the Premier League has released a statement to that effect.
It reads: “We can confirm that today’s abandoned fixture between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth will be played on Tuesday 17 May at 8:00pm.
“We would like to thank Manchester United’s staff, the police and other emergency services for all their efforts today as well as rearranging the match for this coming Tuesday.
“Both Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth management has been extremely helpful in reaching a swift resolution, which is the best possible given today’s events.
“The clubs will make their own announcements regarding ticketing arrangements.”
