Nakuru based Ulinzi Stars compounded AFC Leopards’ 2015 woes with a 4 – 0 beating on Wednesday 21 October in the two sides’ round of 16 GOtv Shield clash at the Afraha Stadium.
AFC Leopards, recently eliminated from the KPL Top 8 and with a tattered league campaign, now only have a respectable finish in the league to play for.
The fate was sealed very early in the game with the hosts scoring through Enos Ochieng on the 11th minute and Evans Amuoka added the second with a header from Brian Birgen’s cross just before the referee called for the break.
AFC Leopards rarely threatened Ulinzi Stars and at the start of the second half Boniface Onyango stretched the hosts’ lead with a screamer after a nice exchange of passes with Enos Ochieng.
Mark Makwatta came on for Evans Amuoka and sealed the win with a well taken goal after beating Eric Masika with pace following a pass from the impressive Enos Ochieng.
The win sees Ulinzi Stars set up a meeting with Bandari FC in the quarterfinals.
