As the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) enters the 18th week of action, one man Robert Matano, the Ulinzi Stars head coach will be looking to get his side back on track after losing his opening two matches of the second leg.
Ulinzi Stars registered a 0 – 1 loss to Mathare United before falling 1 – 2 to Tusker and the coach says his players have moved on after the setbacks and they are gunning for a win in the Saturday clash at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Matano, speaking ahead of the game termed it a very important match, one which they can’t afford to lose and noted his team’s preparations have been good and the players are well motivated.
“In the game of football you have to rise from past setbacks and for us this is a very important match that we cannot afford to lose. The loss to Tusker was a painful one but we have put all that behind us as we gun for a return to winning ways.
“We have prepared well and the players have the right morale heading to the game. I am confident we will bounce back,” he said.
Heading to the match, Matano’s side is fifth on the log on 27 points, eight points behind league leaders Tusker.
