The Kenya national team Harambee Stars and their Ugandan counterparts, Uganda Cranes played to a barren draw in an international friendly clash staged at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Namboole on Tuesday 30 August.
Kenya was on the back foot for most of the first half in the game and skipper Victor Wanyama saved them the blushes with an early clearance off the line after a Godfrey Walusimbi corner.
Kenya’s best chance in the match came on the 65th minute through Ayub Timbe who raced well and beat Cranes keeper Salim Jamal with a chipped attempt but former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho raced through to clear the goal bound effort.
The two nations are in preparation for their respective African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with Kenya set to take on Zambia in Group E while Uganda will be up against Comoros in Group D, both in September.
