Real Madrid Coach, Zinedine Zidane has reacted to his side’s shock 2-0 loss to Wolfsburg in their first-leg Champions League quarter final clash at the Volkswagen Arena.
Zidane agreed to the fact that his side ‘lack intensity’ in Wednesday’s first leg tie which they failed to get a least an away goal but he was quick to add that the return leg is still wide open.
Los Blancos went down to two first half goals in the first leg and the Coach told a flash post-match interview that the tie isn’t over with Santiago Bernabeu next week.
“If we don’t have intensity, what happened happens. But I’m very proud of the team,” he said, AS reports.
“We have to opportunity to turn this around in the return leg.
“Wolfsburg really didn’t do a lot but this happens in football sometimes. We lacked forcefulness.
“Now we have to think about the next League match and we can turn it around in the return leg. It can happen that you have a bad night, but we can change it.
“It wasn’t a lack of confidence. It was a difficult game. When they scored it’s true it could be through a lack of concentration. We can’t always be successful.
“The fans are always behind us. We have 90 minutes or more and we want to go forward. We must be united and keep doing what we’re doing.”The Madrid boss concluded.
