Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye believes his Greek side Olympiacos can beat Arsenal to the group F remaining spot in the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League when both sides face each other on Wednesday at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki.
Having lost 3-2 at home to Olympiacos on match-day two, Arsenal will have to better that result when the sides meet again in Piraeus to decide second place in Group F and the Nigerian international says his side must combine organized defense and counter-attacks to undo Arsene Wenger’s men who are known for free flowing football.
“We know that we must win whereas our opponents know that they must score many goals. We must defend well and counter-attack in order to score because, if we do this, then it will mean that they will have to score more goals.”
“They are not weak, they are always a great team. They face problems due to injuries, but they want to come here, win the match and qualify. We will try to do our best in order to qualify and make our fans in the stands happy.” Ideye told the club’s official website in a press conference.
