Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu has expressed delight after his side drew goalless against Greece Champions Olympiacos in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
The 28-year-old and teammate Tony Nwakaeme came up against Brown Ideye who led the line for the home side but the Israeli side held on for a vital draw which hands them a major advantage for the return leg.
“Great fight tonight. Not over yet. We will fight till the end,” Ogu tweeted after the match.
Ogu who was voted the best foreign player in Israel last season was involved for the full duration of the match same as Brown Ideye while Nwakaeme was substituted on the dot of 90 minutes for Yuval Shabtai.
The return leg between Hapoel Beer Sheva and Olympiacos will come up on August 2 in Israel.
