Former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker FC will be setting camp in Uganda as part of their preparations for the 2016 season.
The team finished a lowly sixth in the KPL in the 2015 season, missing out on silverware and the club management is keen to see that the 2016 season comes with better prospects.
Nothing is being left to chance at the club, who after making nine signings in the current transfer window, assured that they will be going for trophies from all fronts. The club Secretary General Charles Obiny confirms they will be in Uganda for a week during which they will also play friendly matches.
“We will be leaving for Uganda on Thursday and we will be there for a week in the preparations for the coming season. While there, we will have a series of friendly matches against the country’s top clubs,” he noted.
Tusker will open their 2016 KPL campaign with a game against Thika United on Saturday 13 February.
