The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) resumes this weekend with a host of mouth watering clashes lined up, one of those a faceoff between league leaders Tusker FC and relegation battling Ushuru FC.
Tusker FC, by virtue of being atop the standings and having had a good season, are expected to roll over their lower placed opponents but that is easier said than done, according to the Brewers’ head coach Paul Nkata.
Nkata says the fact that the Taxmen are battling to rise from the relegation zone, while his team has the ambition to stay on top and open a gap ahead of Gor Mahia will make the game a very tough affair.
“We know this will not be an easy encounter; there is so much at stake for both teams and we will be going there braced for a fight, a big one. This is a team fighting relegation and we are a side eyeing the title and to stay top with a big gap so it is going to be tough.
“There is also the pressure to keep our chasers at bay. I hope we can come out with a win here,” he said.
As they prepare for the game, both teams want three points so badly to serve their own ambitions.
