England international Harry Kane may soon be towing the steps of Gareth Bale form White Hart Lane to Santiago Bernabeu
There are reports that Real Madrid are looking at Kane as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker, 22, has been on the La Liga side’s radar for more than a year and although there is “no prospect” of a sale this month, the newspaper claims that they have earmarked him as a top target should Ronaldo depart the Bernabeu in the near future.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a good relationship with Madrid, having sold Gareth Bale to them for a world-record transfer fee in 2013, and would reportedly prefer to see Kane leave for a non-domestic rival.
According to a recent report from football analysis firm CIES Football Observatory, Kane is ranked as the fifth most valuable footballer in the world with an estimated worth of £68m.
