Nigerian defender, Efe Ambrose is reportedly set for an unceremonious exit from Celtic as the Scottish champions are now willing more than ever to ship out the often lethargic Super Eagles player in this summer transfer window.
While the defender was seemingly on top of his game when he came from FC Ashdod back in 2012, he has since lost his touch and a catalogue of errors in number of games as seen the fans turn their back against him and now seek his exit from Celtic.
For many, Ambrose has also failed to adequately fill the gap left by Virgil van Dijk, who departed to join Southampton last summer and they were further vindicated earlier this month when another error from the defender helped Gibraltarian minnows Lincoln Red Imps beat Celtic in the Champions League.
This resulted in Ambrose being axed from the squad that beat the same side 3-0 in the second leg.
As reported on Daily Mail, Celtic who had previously been determined to keep hold of Ambrose having rejected bids from Olympiacos and Maccabi Tel Aviv now want him out albeit with the ‘right offer’ made.
