The agent of Ivorian star,Yaya Toure’s has suggested that the midfielder’s time at Manchester City will be coming to an end with Pep Guardiola taking over at the club this summer.
City released and official statement on Monday that Manuel Pellegrini would be leaving the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season with Bayern Munich boss Guardiola taking over.
Immediately it was speculated that Toure, who left Barcelona with Guardiola at the helm, would not have a future under the Spaniard and his agent believes that is the case.
On Toure’s future… “I think Yaya will leave the club,” Dimitri Seluk told The Sun.
“But before leaving I hope he will win again the League and all the cups.
“It’s not a question of whether Pep likes him or not. It’s life, you know.
“Pep can call Yaya and speak to him to let him know ‘I’m with you’ or ‘I am not with you’.”
Guardiola was actually the one that sanctioned Toure’s £24 million move to City in 2010 and Seluk also criticised the City manager in waiting for leaving Barcelona after he was unable to win La Liga in 2012.
“In my opinion, everyone who has balls must stay in a team not only when they are successful but when things are difficult,” he said.
“Barcelona win because it’s like a big family and their structure is an example for everybody.
“So it’s not a question of persons. Luis Enrique has done the same as Guardiola. It’s not possible to say forever it’s the team of Guardiola.”
