Kenyan international Johanna Tosh Omolo is back from the injury that kept him out of Kenya’s three matches between May and June and featured in his Belgian side Royal Antwerp’s 2 – 3 loss to Belgian top tier side KV Oostende in a friendly match played on Wednesday 13 July.
Oostende took the lead in the game on the 32nd minute through Nany Dimata who buried home from a counter attack that Antwerp failed to deal with but William Owusu brought the tie level on the 47th minute.
Three minutes later, Dimata restored Oostende’s lead with his second on the night. On the hour mark, just before Omolo was withdrawn in a massive change to the team.
Fernando Matos netted the third goal on the 78th minute before Cedric Faure headed in Antwerp’s second moments before the final whistle.
Antwerp hosts KV Mechelen in their next preseason friendly on Saturday 16 July and play Dessel Sport in their last friendly on Saturday 30 July.
Antwerp will open their 2016/17 second division season with a match away to Cercle Brugge.
The 26-year-old Omolo made 27 league appearances last season scoring two goals.
