Kenyan international Ayub Masika Timbe returned to action on Friday 4 March after sitting out injured for five weeks.
The winger featured in the Belgian Second Division tie pitting his team, Lierse SK against SV Roeselare in Lier, the match ending in a goalless draw.
Timbe has been out injured after last featuring for the club on 23rd January in a 1 – 1 draw at home to AS Eupen.
In the game, he was introduced on the 65th minute for 20-year-old Egyptian Ahmed Sayed, making his fifth league appearance so far this season.
The draw left Lierse in ninth spot with 35 points from 25 games. They next visit Patro Eisden in a league fixture on Saturday 12 March.
Timbe’s return is a big boost to the Kenya national team head coach Stanley Okumbi who is preparing for the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau.
The Lierse winger was among the 36 players called to the national team Harambee Stars provisional squad ahead of the qualifier.
