Brazilian and Shakhtar Donetsk forward Alex Teixeira has confidently stated that he wants a move to Liverpool amid transfer interest from the Anfield side.
Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the 26-year-old and although Shakhtar Donetsk turned down a £24m bid the club is willing to return with a bigger offer for the player.
However, Donetsk are reportedly holding out for as much as £40m, but Teixeira has insisted that he is keen on making the switch to the premier league side.
“Liverpool are a huge club. So many great players have passed through there,” he told NBC.
“I want to be there. But that is up to the club president now. I can only hope. It is frustrating. So now I’m just waiting, trying to be patient.”
Teixeira joined Ukrainian club’s Shakhtar in 2010 and has since gone on to help the club to five league titles and three domestic cups.
