Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has been blasted by Mombasa based football administrator Twaha Mbarak who says he betrayed him in the run up to the February 10 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections.
Mbarak and Rachier were thought to be in the same camp with Twaha riding on as Rachier’s running mate as the Gor Mahia chairman went for the FKF presidency but in the wee hours of the night before elections things changed.
Twaha has braned Rachier as a dishonest leader who does not deserve to be in football and called on Gor Mahia fans to vote him out in the coming club polls.
“Rachier is dishonest; after campaign with him all along he abandoned me on the night before elections and called on his people to vote for Amukowa. He gave them his list of preferred candidates and my name was not there. I feel betrayed by his actions.
“He cannot be trusted to lead and I want to call on Gor Mahia fans to vote him out. Such a character does not deserve to be in football,” he said.
Twaha further congratulated the winners in the election and called on them to work for Kenyans and Kenyan football.
