Nigerian International Kenneth Omeuro has congratulated former club Middlesbrough following their shock elimination of four-time Capital One Cup winners Manchester United last night.
It was a bitter taste for the Red Devils as they were bundled out on penalties in front of their home crown at Old Trafford courtesy of fine shoot-out saves from Spanish keeper Tomas Osorio.
The Championship side had been eliminated five out of six times in the competition by Premier League opposition and it looked like they were facing the same fate as Manchester United dominated possession and created good openings but their dodged approach kept them in the tie and eventually saw them through the finish line.
‘Another big Congrats to Boro, great game yesterday and an amazing result against Manchester United,’ Omeruo tweeted.
