AFC Leopards has been rocked with another exit as midfielder Timonah Wanyonyi has confirmed completing the deal to join Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants Tusker FC.
The midfielder has been unsettled at AFC Leopards with the club going through a lot of trouble and seeing a massive exit after the end of the 2015 season.
Wanyonyi has signed a one year deal at the club and speaking afterwards, he said he is ready to work hard to prove his mettle at the Ruaraka based side.
“At some point in my career I just had to make the move,” the Aspire Academy graduate stated.
“I am happy to join a team like Tusker and obviously here I am at a big team and should expect a lot of competition. I believe I have what it takes to succeed here and I am ready to work for my place in the team,” he added.
Wanyonyi’s move makes him the tenth player to sign up with the team led by Ugandan coach Paul Nkata.
The midfielder first played in the Kenyan Premier League for Gor Mahia before decamping to AFC Leopards where his career took a nosedive but he will be looking to redeem himself in 2016.
