Former AFC Leopards head coach Luc Eymael is settling down in his new job in Sudan where he took charge as coach of the defending league champions El Merreikh on a one year renewable deal.
The coach says he is aware of the challenge ahead of him with the team going to 2016 on the back of an appearance in the CAF Champions League semi finals and two domestic trophies in the bag.
He has however assured that he will be giving his all to see that he betters the team’s achievements for the 2015 season.
“I am aware of the challenge and I know it is not going to be easy. When I took the job I knew the magnitude. The team qualified for the semi final of the CAF Champions League this year and also won two cups.
“So as I take the job I know the challenge will be to retain the two trophies and also try as much as possible to take the team far in the Champions League,” he said.
