Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has declared his side’s readiness for the La Liga kick off after the 5 – 3 friendly win over French side Stade Reims in a preseason friendly game on Tuesday 16 August.

Real Madrid, the UEFA Champions League winners, finished second in La Liga last season and Zidane has been busy sprucing up the team in preparation for the coming season and after the team’s final friendly game he is looking for a good start to the season.

The European champions open their season with an away game against Real Sociedad and the Frenchman notes that the match was about him seeing all his players in action but he had his reservations about conceding three goals at home.

“Today was about being able to watch all of the players in action. We won the game and that will be out last friendly. Now we must prepare for the first game in La Liga, we are ready to play”.
“It is clear that when you concede three goals at home then certain things have not gone the desired way, but that is all part of the preparations. We have not conceded many goals in pre-season,” he told the club’s official website.
