The Rwanda national team head coach Johnny McKinstry has named his squad of 23 that will do duty for the nation in the coming African Nations Championships (CHAN).
A key omission in McKinstry’s squad is striker Songa Isaie of Police FC. Songa, last season’s top scorer on 14 goals while featuring for AS Kigali has been dropped with eight others while a majority of the team is made up of players who featured at the CECAFA Senior Challenge.
Amavubi Stars were pooled in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Gabon and Morocco. They open the championship against Ivory Coast on Saturday 16 January at Amahoro Stadium.
