Ivory Coast international Salomon Kalou who is Hertha Berlin’s leading goalscorer will miss Saturday’s clash at VfB Stuttgart due to injury.
The 30-year-old forward picked up a thigh strain in the Old Lady’s 3-2 DFB Cup quarter-final win over Bundesliga 2 outfit 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 on Wednesday, and has returned home to Berlin.
The Bundesliga side in a statement on its official twitter account wrote;
Salomon Kalou fällt aufgrund einer Muskelverletzung im Oberschenkel gg Stuttgart aus, ist auf dem Weg nach Berlin. Gute Besserung! #hahohe

Kalou has been integral to Hertha’s stellar domestic campaign in 2015/16, scoring 10 goals in 19 Bundesliga appearances and three in the DFB Cup.
Hertha are currently third in the Bundesliga and also have a DFB Cup semi-final showdown with Borussia Dortmund to look forward to – the winners of which will play either FC Bayern München or SV Werder Bremen in the final in Berlin on 21 May.
Both Stuttgart and Hertha are currently six games unbeaten, making them the league’s two most in-form teams.
