Nigerian striker, Shola Ameobi has completed yet another move, this time to a League One side, Fleetwood Town until the end of the season.
Ameobi who was formerly competing with the big guns in the EPL is now dropping down the ladder with each new move he makes.
The Nigerian striker last played for Bolton before now pitching his tent with the Cod Army on a short-term deal following his release by his former employers at the Rebook Stadium last month.
“We certainly couldn’t get any more experience than Shola Ameobi and we are absolutely delighted with that,” Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley told the club website.
“He is not only a very good player, he is a terrific character that can bring a lot to the group.
“It is vital that he has been playing as sometimes unattached players at this stage in the season, the one thing they are lacking is a level of fitness.
“Shola has been involved at Bolton Wanderers on a regular basis for the vast majority of the season and he is raring to go ahead of Saturday’s trip to Port Vale.”
Ameobi 34, made 312 appearances and scored 53 goals during his 14-year stay at Newcastle, which came to an end in 2014.
