Arsenal’s summer signings, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez took part in their first Arsenal session at London Colney on Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s visit of Southampton.
There was also cheering news for Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi as he was pictured in training alongside his Arsenal teammates.
Iwobi got injured during the opening day clash against Liverpool and he has since been out of action for the Gunners and by extension for the Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles.
However the 20-year old looks good to return to action as he was pictured sharp in the Gunners’ training session which welcomed some new faces.
Arsène Wenger’s new signings trained alongside the likes of Iwobi, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott as well as Santi Cazorla.
The impending return of Iwobi to action will sure gladden the Super Eagles bench lead by Franco-German Genort Rohr who is favourably disposed to having the young Arsenal forward for next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifying match away to Zambia.
