Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba’s future was expected to be announced on Saturday, with a meeting set between Safa and the coach.
Expectations are high that Mashaba will be relieved of his duties after failing to qualify South Africa to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Failure was clear before the international week, but Safa had chosen to wait until the end of the last Afcon qualifier against Mauritania.
SA drew the game 1-1, finishing third in their group and then beat Egypt 1-0 in a friendly game, the Nelson Mandela Challenge.
However Safa confirmed on Twitter that Mashaba’s future is not being discussed on Saturday.
Issues pertaining to future of @BafanaBafana coach Shakes Mashaba will not be discussed at the regular Technical Committee meeting tomorrow!
