The reigning Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will have a pre season tour of Uganda in preparation for a hectic year in 2016.
While in Uganda, Gor Mahia, the 15 – time KPL champions will take on 15 – time Ugandan champions SC Villa who, like Gor Mahia, are also preparing for continental duties in the season.
While Gor Mahia will be using the game to prepare for the CAF Champions League, SC Villa will be using it to prepare for the CAF Confederations Cup where they are scheduled to take on Sudanese side Al Wantani on Saturday 13 February.
The friendly game is scheduled for Wednesday 3 February and the SC Villa CEO Iven Kakembo has called on fans to come in numbers for the game and help raise funds for the team’s CAF assignments.
“We are on a funds drive and the fans are kindly requested to turn up in big numbers. The monies from this game will be channeled towards the facilitation of the CAF engagement,” he said.
The match will be played at the Nakivubo Stadium starting 4pm EAT.
