The Ghanaian legend is set to be pointed Kotoko chief executive officer.
Samuel Kuffour is one of the best known Ghanaian players, having represented Bayern Munich as a defender.
Therefore he’s the ideal choice to be in charge of the 23-time Ghana Premier League holders, since he’s already been a board member in the past.
There’s been much unsettlement at the club recently, and according to Goal.com, Kuffour met with the club patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Saturday to replace Samuel Opoku Nti.
Kotoko haven’t been able to dominate the Ghana league the way they used to and changes are going to be ringed, with Kuffour pulling the strings.
Other than the league title, they also failed in the President’s Cup and Otumfuo Cup.
Kuffour has a Uefa Champions League title and Club World Cup title with Bayern, but has also represented Roma, Livorno and Ajax Amsterdam before retiring.
He also won the 1991 Fifa U17 World Cup with Ghana.
