Nigerian youngster Tosin Kehinde scored again for Manchester United as the Reserves hammered Salford 5-1 at Moor Lane in a pre-season friendly.

The Conference North club are heavily supported by United’s class of ’92 Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs but Kehinde and teammates proved too strong for them last night.

Red Devils reserve team manager Warren Joyce led his side to a 3-3 draw in front of Moor Lane’s fans at their last visit but it was different this time around.

Having started in the win against Altrincham, Nigerian striker Tosin Kehinde had to make way for Matty Willock in the first XI and he repaid the faith of the manager as he provided the assist for striker James Wilson who made no mistake with a confident finish past keeper Jay Lynch for Salford.

However, the home side hit back just before half-time as James Poole was fouled in the penalty box and Richie Allen finished off to make it 1-1.

The second half was a whole lot different as Manchester United took the game beyond the home side with authority.

Sean Goss and Scott McTominay both struck the post but substitute Josh Harrop had lashed home a blistering shot to put United 2-1 up and completed his brace with the visitors third before Nigerian youngster Tosin Kehinde grabbed the fourth to make it two goals in four days.

Demetri Mitchell ensured it was an emphatic win with a late strike that made it 5-1.
