CSKA pays tribute to Ahmed Musa 



Russia club CSKA Moscow has pay a glowing tribute to new Leicester City signing Ahmed Musa, according to Roman Babaev, the club’s General Director the Nigerian was the best they ever had. 

Musa completed a N7. 3billion switch to the Premier League and was unveiled yesterday as the title holders prepare for a new season.

The 23-year-old who spent four successful seasons in Russia is expected to join the Foxes on their preseason tour of Austria but at CSKA he is still very loved as Babaev revealed in a club statement.

“With a heavy heart we agreed to accept this offer,” the statement read. ”Over the past few years Ahmed became one of the key players for our club.

”At the same time we didn’t want to put up obstacles for the player who is wanted by the reigning champion of England.

”Leicester made a great offer for the club and for Ahmed. Musa has made an outstanding progress during the last four and the half years with us, we shared many unforgettable moments and he fully deserved the step up to the next level.

”We wish him all the success in the future career”.

Musa made his debut for PFC CSKA on 21 February 2012 in the Champions League match against Real Madrid. He went on to make 168 appearances for Red-Blues and scored 54 goals.
