Matano set to benefit from KEFOCA philanthropy


The Kenya Football Coaches Association (KEFOCA) is planning a tour of India to take Ulinzi Stars head coach Robert Matano for specialized treatment after the coach fell ill in the past week with a kidney problem.

The group’s chairman, Ricky Solomon revealed they have planned a series of fundraisers to be able to facilitate the same, and has called on fans and football lovers to contribute to the initiative.

Ricky revealed that contributions can be made through Family Bank Account Number 046000026261 under the name Robert Matano Medical Fund and Paybill Number 811328 with the Account Name being Robert Matano.

He added that a major fundraiser on 1st October to help the coach be able to settle his bills.

“We are planning to take him to India because we have tried to research and found that he can get very good treatment there.  To be able to fund this we need to raise money and that is why we have the two modules before we hold the fundraiser on 1st of October,” he said.

The coach is currently admitted at the Coptic Hospital in Nairobi undergoing dialysis.
