Breaking! Borussia Dortmund complete first summer signing

Borussia Dortmund have completed their first summer signing having announced on Thursday that they have officially signed promising youngster Ousmane Dembele from Rennes for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old understands has signed a contract with BVB until June 2021.

Dembele performed creditably well in the Ligue 1 this season as Rennes are set to finish comfortably in the top half.

Voted the Young Player of the Year in the Ligue 1, Dembele’s hat-trick against Nantes brought him to the attention of some of the world’s best clubs, including Barcelona.

However, Dortmund announced on their official Twitter page that the youngster has moved to the Westfalenstadion.

Dembele put pen-to-paper on a deal until 2021.

It is not sure if the capture of Dembele will see them backing down from going for signature of Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze.
