Manchester United are set to blow all rivals out of the waters with a sensational £11m per-year-offer for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski in the summer.

The Old Trafford side has been a long time admirers of the 27-year-old Polish international who has scored 23 times in 25 games this season and Louis van Gaal is desperate to sign a striker as his side is currently struggling for goals.

According to Sportbild, it is widely believed that the striker could seek a fresh challenge after spending the last six seasons in the Bundesliga which has led to interest from Real Madrid,  Manchester City, Barcelona, and Paris Saint German but United’s eye-watering offer may just see him play at Old Trafford next season.

Currently, Wayne Rooney’s long-term future at Old Trafford remains unclear as the Chinese League are preparing to lure him away to Asia, so signing an experienced strike partner at the summer to partner Anthony Martial in attack seems a well thought approach.

Lewandowski has been capped 72-time by Poland and has won the German Bundesliga both with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
