Razak Siwa has been appointed the new goalkeeping coach for the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars, replacing Mathews Ottamax who resigned after Kenya’s elimination at the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge.
Siwa returns to the team after previously serving under German coach Antoine Hey and he will be joining the bench unveiled in February by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa.
Speaking after his confirmation, the coach, who has served stints in Tanzania, said he looks to see good growth in the team, especially in the goalkeeping department, which he will be dealing with.
“I am thankful for getting this role and of course elated to be back in the team after some years out. I am ready and braced for the job to improve the team and I will be giving my all especially in the goalkeeping department.
“We have some good keepers coming into the team and I will be looking to help them rise in their careers,” he said.
